Questions & Answers about Vieni spesso qui?
Why is the verb vieni instead of "veni"?
Vieni comes from the verb venire (to come). It is an irregular verb, meaning it does not follow the normal rules for verbs ending in "-ire". For the informal "you" form, it changes the stem and adds an extra "i", making it vieni. You simply have to memorize this special form!
Why isn't there a word for "do" or "you" in this sentence?
Why is spesso placed after the verb? Can I put it at the beginning?
Adverbs of frequency like spesso (often) usually go right after the verb they are describing. While Italian word order can be a bit flexible, Vieni spesso qui? is the most natural and common way to ask this.
