Usages of đã

• Tôi đã gặp mẹ của Lan ở siêu thị hôm qua.: I met Lan’s mother at the supermarket yesterday.
• Chúng tôi đã mua cà phê ở cửa hàng hôm trước.: We bought coffee at the store the other day.
• Tôi đã chọn quà rồi, nhưng tôi vẫn đang nghĩ xem nên viết gì trong thiệp.: I have already chosen the gift, but I am still thinking about what I should write in the card.
• Chị đã đặt bánh kem rồi, nên bây giờ cần mua thêm nến.: Older sister has already ordered the cake, so now she needs to buy more candles.
• Tôi đã trả lời tin nhắn của Lan rồi, nhưng An vẫn chưa trả lời tôi.: I have already replied to Lan’s message, but An still has not replied to me.
• Tôi đã hẹn gặp bạn ở trước khách sạn sau bữa tiệc.: I arranged to meet you in front of the hotel after the party.
• Chúng tôi đã hẹn nhau từ tuần trước để cùng đến bữa tiệc này.: We made plans with each other last week to go to this party together.
