Usages of oku

私わたし　は　鍵かぎ　を　机つくえ　の　上うえ　に　置おきます。watashi wa kagi o tsukue no ue ni okimasu.

I put the key on the desk.

新あたらしい　植物しょくぶつ　を　窓まど　の　そば　に　置おきました。atarashii shokubutsu o mado no soba ni okimashita.

I put a new plant by the window.

予約席よやくせき　に　荷物にもつ　を　置おいて　は　いけません。yoyakuseki ni nimotsu o oite wa ikemasen.

You must not put luggage on the reserved seat.
