Questions & Answers about Je ne travaille pas demain. Moi non plus !

Why does the French say Je ne travaille pas instead of using a future tense or an 'am working' tense?
In French, there is no separate 'am working' form. The present tense je travaille means both 'I work' and 'I am working'. Also, just like in English, you can use the present tense to talk about fixed plans in the near future when you include a time word like demain (tomorrow).
How does the negative work in the first sentence?
To say 'not' in French, you put ne before the verb and pas after it. Here, the verb is travaille (work), so putting it all together makes ne travaille pas.
Why say Moi non plus instead of Moi aussi?
Moi aussi means 'Me too', and you only use it to agree with positive statements. Because the first speaker made a negative statement (they are not working), you must agree by using Moi non plus, which means 'Me neither'.
Why is it moi and not je in the second sentence?
Je (I) is a subject pronoun, which means it always has to be attached to a verb (like je travaille). When a pronoun stands alone without a verb, like in short answers, you have to use a 'stressed pronoun' like moi (me).
