Questions & Answers about ما از رمزنگاری نامتقارن استفاده میکنیم تا پیام رمزگذاری شود.
Why do we need the preposition از before رمزنگاری, and why is it separated from the verb استفاده میکنیم?
The compound verb استفاده کردن (to use) always requires the preposition از (from) before the object being used. In Farsi, the preposition comes right before the object (رمزنگاری نامتقارن), while the actual verb components (استفاده میکنیم) stay at the end of the clause.
There are two very similar words here: رمزنگاری and رمزگذاری. What is the difference?
Both relate to codes (رمز). رمزنگاری (ramz-negari) combines رمز with the root for writing or recording, translating broadly to the science of 'cryptography.' رمزگذاری (ramz-gozari) combines it with the root for placing or putting, meaning the specific action of 'encryption' or 'encoding.'
Why does the second clause use the verb شود instead of the present indicative میشود?
The conjunction تا here means 'so that' or 'in order to,' introducing a purpose or desired outcome. This requires the following verb to be in the subjunctive mood. شود is the subjunctive form of شدن (to become/to get), used here to form the passive voice 'is encrypted.'
If I wanted to use this lesson's word چگونه (che-gune) to ask 'How is the message encrypted?', where would it go and how would the verb change?
You would place it right before the verb phrase: پیام چگونه رمزگذاری میشود؟ Notice that the verb changes from the subjunctive شود, which was required by تا (so that) in the original sentence, back to the regular indicative میشود because you are now asking a direct, factual question.
