Questions & Answers about این کانال دارد رویداد را زنده پخش میکند.
How do dârad and pakhsh mikonad work together in this sentence?
They form the present progressive tense, meaning 'is (currently) broadcasting'. The auxiliary verb dârad shows the action is happening right now, and works in tandem with the present continuous main verb pakhsh mikonad.
Why is dârad placed right after the subject instead of next to the main verb?
In Farsi, the auxiliary verb for the present progressive (dâshtan) usually sits right after the subject (in kânâl). The main verb (pakhsh mikonad) always stays at the very end of the sentence. The object and adverbs get sandwiched in between them!
Why do we need the word râ after ruy-dâd?
The word ruy-dâd means 'event'. Because the channel is broadcasting a specific, known event ('the event'), it acts as a definite direct object. This requires the marker râ immediately following it.
I learned that zende means 'alive'. Does it really mean 'live' here?
Exactly! While zende literally means 'alive' or 'living' for people and animals, it is also the standard word used in Farsi for a 'live' TV or radio broadcast. Here it acts as an adverb describing how the event is being broadcast.
How is the main verb formed?
