I know barāye inke means because. Can I use it instead of chon here?
You could use it, but chon is much more natural when starting a sentence with the reason. Chon functions like since or because at the very beginning of a sentence. Barāye inke is usually placed in the middle of a sentence to explain the reason after the main action has already been stated.
