Why doesn't dârid have the mi- prefix for the present tense?
The phrase qasd dâshtan (to intend) uses the verb dâshtan (to have). Dâshtan is a special verb in Farsi that does not take the mi- prefix in the simple present tense. So, you just say qasd dârid.
Why is the second verb bemânid in the subjunctive form?
Because it follows an intention. The phrase qasd dârid ke (you intend that) introduces an action you want to happen, but it isn't a guaranteed reality yet. In Farsi, we show this by putting the second verb in the present subjunctive, adding the be- prefix to get bemânid.
Why is az used in front of in moj-e bozorg?
The phrase dur mândan translates to "stay away" or literally "stay far". Just like in English, if you want to specify what you are staying away from, you must use the preposition az (from).
