Learn Farsi: هر عادت به وقت نیاز دارد.

Just like in English, the word هر (every/each) must be followed by a singular noun in Farsi. You say هر عادت (every habit), and never هر عادت‌ها (every habits).

Why is the preposition به (to) used before وقت (time)?

In Farsi, the verb for 'to need' is a compound verb: نیاز داشتن (literally 'to have a need'). When you need something, you 'have a need to' it. Therefore, the preposition به (to) always introduces the thing you need. Literally, this sentence says 'Every habit has a need to time.'

Why does به وقت come before نیاز دارد?

Farsi sentences typically follow a Subject-Object-Verb order, meaning the conjugated verb goes at the very end. Since نیاز دارد is the verb, it sits at the end, and the phrase به وقت (to time) is placed right before it.

Could I use زمان (zamān) instead of وقت (vaght) for 'time' here?

Yes! Both وقت and زمان mean 'time' and can be used interchangeably in this sentence. وقت is extremely common in everyday speech, while زمان can sometimes feel slightly more formal, but both work perfectly here.
