Learn Farsi: تو باید پیش دکتر بروی چون تب داری. - You must go to the doctor because you have a fever.

چون (because) is a linking word that simply connects two complete thoughts. Just like in English, it sits right between the main action and the reason. It does not force any tricky grammatical changes or new word orders in the second half of the sentence.

Why do we use پیش دکتر instead of the word به (to) for going "to" the doctor?

When you talk about going to a person (like a doctor, a friend, or a boss) rather than a physical building, Farsi commonly uses پیش (pish). It literally means "in front of" or "in the presence of." You connect it to the person using the hidden ezāfe "e" sound, making it پیشِ دکتر (pish-e doktor).

I learned that "you go" is می‌روی, so why is it بروی here?

This happens because of the word باید (must). In Farsi, words expressing necessity, desire, or possibility require the following verb to be in a special mood called the subjunctive. For most verbs, this means dropping the می‌ prefix and adding a بـ (be-) prefix. So, می‌روی becomes بروی.

Why is there a تو (you) at the very beginning, but no word for "you" after چون?

Farsi allows you to leave out pronouns like "I" or "you" because the verb endings already show who is doing the action. The sentence includes تو at the start to clearly set the subject, but avoids repeating it after چون because the ending on the verb (you have) makes it perfectly clear who has the fever.
