Why is اتاق (room) singular when the English translation says "three rooms"?
In Farsi, a noun that directly follows a number is always kept in its singular form. Even though you are talking about multiple rooms, you literally say "three room" (سه اتاق) instead of using a plural ending.
If there are three rooms, why does the sentence end with the singular verb است (is) instead of a plural verb?
