Questions & Answers about اینها پروژهی تو است.
How does the word inhâ work here?
Inhâ is the plural form of in (this), meaning "these". We use it here because we are pointing out multiple things (projects).
Why is the word for project (prože) singular in Farsi when the English translation says "projects"?
Since the plural demonstrative inhâ (these) already shows there is more than one, Farsi often leaves the noun in its singular form to avoid repeating the plural idea, especially with inanimate objects.
The translation says "These are...", but the verb at the end is ast (is). Why don't we use a plural verb?
In Farsi, when the subject is inanimate (not a living thing, like projects), the verb is almost always singular. So even though inhâ means "these", the sentence correctly uses the singular verb ast (is) instead of a plural verb like "are".
Why is there an extra letter (ی) attached to prože?
This is the ezâfe, which connects the item to its owner, to (you). Because prože ends in a silent "h" (ه) that makes an "e" sound, we must add the letter ye (ی) to connect the words smoothly, making prože-ye to.
