Farsi is a "pro-drop" language, which means you can usually drop the subject pronoun (like ما for "we"). You already know the subject is "we" because of the -یم ending attached to the end of the sentence.

How does the word جوانیم break down? Where is the verb?

The verb is actually attached to the adjective! جوانیم is made of the adjective جوان (young) plus the suffix -یم (we are). In Farsi, the present tense forms of "to be" act like suffixes and attach directly to the end of the preceding word.

If I want to emphasize that we are the ones who are young, how would I write this?

You would put the pronoun ما (we) at the beginning of the sentence to make it ما خیلی جوانیم. Remember, even when you include the subject pronoun, you must still keep the matching -یم ending on the verb!

Does خیلی (very) always come before the adjective?
