Does او only mean "he"?
No, Farsi pronouns do not have gender! او can mean "he" or "she" depending on the context. Here, we translated it as "he," but it could just as easily mean "Is she a mechanic?".
How do you make this a question? The words are in the exact same order as a normal sentence.
In Farsi, you don't need to change the word order to ask a yes/no question. You just use a rising tone of voice at the end of the sentence when speaking, and a question mark when writing.
Why isn't there a word for "a" before مکانیک?
