Persistent state (hamchenân)

To indicate that a state or action is continuing exactly as before, Farsi uses the adverb همچنان.

Ongoing Actions

Like most adverbs in Farsi, همچنان typically appears early in the sentence, often right after the subject. It pairs naturally with continuous verbs to show that an action is still actively happening.
