Questions & Answers about Şifa buldukça güvenimiz günden güne pekişmekte.

How does the phrase günden güne convey the meaning of "from day to day"?

This highlights the core of our current lesson. It uses the pattern Noun + Ablative (-den, "from") + same Noun + Dative (-e, "to"). Here, gün (day) becomes günden (from day) + güne (to day). It is the standard Turkish structure to express a gradual, continuous progression or transfer over time.

Can I use this same ablative-to-dative pattern with other time words, like "year by year"?

Yes! You can apply this exact structure to many time-related nouns to show gradual change. For example, yıldan yıla means "from year to year" or "year by year," and aydan aya means "from month to month."

Does buldukça mean "as long as we find" or "the more we find" here?

While the suffix -dıkça often means "as long as" in conditional contexts, here it indicates a parallel progression, meaning "as" or "the more." Because it is paired with a phrase of gradual change (günden güne) and a continuous verb, şifa buldukça translates best to "as we find healing" or "the more healing we find."

Why does the sentence end with pekişmekte instead of the standard present continuous pekişiyor?
