Questions & Answers about Piyasayı incelemiş olan dinamik uzmanlar ne kadar süre çalıştı?
Why use incelemiş olan instead of just inceleyen?
Using the standard subject relative clause inceleyen uzmanlar would mean "the experts who examine" or "who are examining" (a general or ongoing action). By using the -mIş olan structure, we give the relative clause an explicit past or perfect timeframe. It specifically means "the experts who have already examined" the market.
Why does piyasa have the accusative ending in piyasayı?
Even though it is embedded inside a relative clause, the verb incelemek (to examine) still takes a direct object. Because they examined a specific thing (the market), piyasa gets the definite accusative suffix -(y)ı, making it piyasayı.
The subject is plural (uzmanlar). Why is the verb just çalıştı and not çalıştılar?
In Turkish, when a plural subject is explicitly stated in the sentence (like uzmanlar), adding the plural suffix -lAr to the verb is optional, even for humans. Both çalıştı and çalıştılar are completely correct here, but leaving the plural suffix off the verb is very common to avoid repetition.
Could we just say ne kadar çalıştı instead of ne kadar süre çalıştı?
