Why is there no "in" ending on Akşam? Shouldn't it be Akşamda?
In Turkish, words for parts of the day like sabah (morning), öğle (noon), akşam (evening), and gece (night) generally don't take the locative case suffix (-da/-de) when used to say when something happened. You just use the plain word akşam to mean "in the evening".
Why isn't there an accusative case ending on pirinç (like pirinci)?
We leave the accusative case off when we are talking about an indefinite object. Because you cooked "rice" in general, not "the specific rice" we were just talking about, pirinç stays in its plain dictionary form.
