Questions & Answers about O kızgın çünkü öğrenciler çok tembel.
How do we use çünkü in a sentence?
Çünkü means "because" and is very easy to use. It connects two complete sentences just like in English. Here, it connects O kızgın (He is angry) and öğrenciler çok tembel (the students are very lazy) without changing the word order of either part.
Where is the word for "is" or "are" in this sentence?
Turkish doesn't have a separate word for "am", "is", or "are". Instead, it uses small personal suffixes. However, for the third person ("he/she/it" or "they"), this suffix is often completely left out in everyday Turkish. That is why O kızgın stands alone to mean "He is angry" and çok tembel means "are very lazy".
Could O kızgın also mean "She is angry"?
Absolutely. The pronoun o means "he", "she", or "it". Turkish doesn't use gendered pronouns, so you have to rely on context to know if it is a male or female person who is angry.
Since "students" is plural, why isn't it tembeller?
If you already have a plural subject like öğrenciler (students), you usually don't need to add the plural suffix -ler to the describing word at the end of the sentence. Leaving it simply as tembel is the most natural and common way to say it in Turkish.
