Future Tense Questions
To ask yes/no questions about the future, we use the interrogative particle mı or mi.
The formula is: Verb Stem + -(y)acak / -(y)ecek + [space] + mı / mi
Because of vowel harmony, verbs taking -acak will always be followed by mı, and verbs taking -ecek will always be followed by mi.

| Will this team win the tournament? | Bu takım turnuvayı kazanacak mı? |
| Will the team pass this round? | Takım bu turu geçecek mi? |
Adding Personal Suffixes
When asking if "you", "we", or "I" will do something, the personal suffix attaches directly to the question particle, not the verb.
Because the suffix does not attach to the verb, the k at the end of -acak / -ecek does not soften to ğ in questions like it does in regular statements!
Here are the forms for "you" (singular) and "we" (notice the buffer y needed for "we"):
- -acak mısın? / -ecek misin? (Will you?)
- -acak mıyız? / -ecek miyiz? (Will we?)
| Will you watch the final? Because it is very important. | Finali izleyecek misin? Çünkü çok önemli. |
| Will we beat the opponent in this round? | Bu turda rakibi yenecek miyiz? |
| This opponent is not easy. Will we win? | Bu rakip kolay değil. Kazanacak mıyız? |
"They" (Third Person Plural)
There is one exception for personal suffixes: when asking about "they", the plural suffix (-lar / -ler) attaches to the verb before the question particle.
- -acaklar mı? / -ecekler mi? (Will they?)
