Why does กี่ (how many) come after the word for snacks (ขนม)?
In Thai, the question word กี่ always sits right before the classifier, not before the noun. The pattern is Noun + กี่ + Classifier. So instead of saying 'how many snacks,' Thai literally says 'snack how many piece' (ขนมกี่ชิ้น).
