The repetition particle (อีก)

To say "more" or "again" in Thai, use the repetition particle อีก. When asking for more of something generally or wanting to repeat an action, อีก is placed at the end of the clause (right before polite particles like ครับ or ค่ะ).

Refills and Actions

You can pair อีก with action verbs to describe repeated actions. A highly useful verb in restaurants is เติม (to refill).

Specifying Quantities

When you want to specify exactly how much more, place อีก immediately before the quantity and classifier phrase (อีก + number + classifier).

If you are only asking for "one more," the number หนึ่ง (one) is often dropped, leaving just อีก followed by the classifier.

You will use this same structure with classifiers like ครั้ง (time/occurrence) or รอบ (round) to ask someone to repeat an action.

To ask for a specific number of additional items, simply include the number right after อีก.
