The Polite Request Frame: ช่วย ... หน่อย / ที

To make a polite request, place the word ช่วย (to help) at the beginning of your action, and add a softening particle at the end of the clause. The two most common particles for this are หน่อย or ที, both of which loosely translate to "a little bit" or "for a moment."

If the action is being done for someone, it is standard to include the word ให้ (for / to give) right before the ending particle. This creates the friendly pattern ช่วย...ให้หน่อย or ช่วย...ให้ที.
