Exclusive Focus and Sufficiency
To express that a single factor by itself is entirely enough to cause a certain result or condition, Thai uses the structure ลำพังแค่ [Subject or Action] ก็ [Result].

This frame literally translates to "just [factor] alone, then [result]." It is commonly used to highlight that out of many possible challenges, this one thing is already a major hurdle.
Triggering Severe Consequences
When describing the grueling physical and mental toll of an expedition, you will often want to state how a condition causes a decline. To do this, include ทำให้ (to make / to cause) before the result.
You will also frequently see these sentences end with แล้ว (already) to emphasize that the single condition has already met the threshold to cause the problem.
Actions as the Focus
The "exclusive focus" slot isn't restricted to nouns like weather or routes; it can also be an entire action.
To make the idea of "sufficiency" incredibly explicit, you can insert พอที่จะ (enough to) immediately after ก็.
Expressing Hypothetical Extremes
When you step away from the "just X alone" frame, you can still express extreme isolation or mental toll using conditional statements starting with ถ้า (if).
To emphasize how intense a resulting feeling or state is, you can place จะตายไป (extremely / literally "to death") at the end of the sentence.
