The Building Classifier หลัง
In Thai, when counting, pointing out, or specifying nouns, you use classifiers. For houses, buildings, and other detached structures, the classifier is หลัง.

When counting buildings, the standard structure is Noun + Number + Classifier.
To point out a specific building using demonstratives, use the structure Noun + Classifier + Demonstrative.
When modifying a building with an adjective for emphasis or specification, use the pattern Noun + Classifier + Adjective. If the noun is understood from context, you can omit it and just use the classifier with the adjective.
Touring Properties
Whether you are looking at a regular house, a mansion (คฤหาสน์), or a warehouse (โกดัง), all detached structures use the classifier หลัง.
When using numbers and demonstratives together, the structure simply stacks them: Noun + Number + Classifier + Demonstrative.
Real estate agents also highlight neighborhood features, such as a spacious area (พื้นที่), a peaceful (สงบ) environment, or friendly neighbors (เพื่อนบ้าน) that make the community livable (น่าอยู่).
