Why is there no word for "to" between måste and gå?
In Swedish, måste works just like the English word "must". It is followed directly by the base form of the next verb without using att (to). So you say jag måste gå (I must go), not jag måste att gå.
Does gå mean "go" or "walk"?
It means both! While gå very often means "to walk" (as opposed to traveling by a vehicle), in this context it simply means "to leave" or "to go".
