Does the verb är change if I want to say "you are" or "he is"?
No, Swedish verbs do not change depending on who is doing the action (the subject). Whether it is jag (I), du (you), or han (he), the verb is always är. So "you are" is simply du är.
Is the 'g' in jag pronounced?
In very formal or slow speech it is, but in everyday spoken Swedish, the 'g' is almost always silent. You will mostly hear native speakers pronounce jag like "ya".
I have heard native speakers say this sentence and it sounds like "Ya e här". Why is that?
