Limitless Comparisons with Hur ... som helst
To say that something is "as [adjective] as you like" or that there is absolutely no limit to a certain quality, Swedish uses the phrase hur ... som helst. Place your adjective between hur (how) and som helst (preferably / whatsoever).
| A blockbuster can be as spectacular as you like. | En storfilm kan vara hur spektakulär som helst. |
Since you are still using an adjective inside the phrase, it must agree in number and gender with the noun it describes. Notice how farlig (dangerous) takes an -a when describing a plural noun:
| The monsters can become as dangerous as you like. | Monstren kan bli hur farliga som helst. |
Using Adverbs
This construction works exactly the same way with adverbs to emphasize that there is no limit to how an action is performed.
| You can animate the dinosaur as fast as you like. | Du kan animera dinosaurien hur snabbt som helst. |
| You can render the scene as slowly as you like. | Du kan rendera scenen hur långsamt som helst. |
It is also frequently used to say that something turned out "as good as it gets":
