The Spanish verb buscar translates entirely to "to look for" or "to search for". The "for" is already built into the verb. Adding por (busqué por el libro) is a very common mistake for English speakers, but it is grammatically incorrect in Spanish.

Why is it spelled busqué and not buscé?

The verb buscar ends in -car. In the preterite (simple past) tense, -car verbs change the c to qu in the "yo" (I) form to maintain the hard "k" sound of the infinitive. If you wrote buscé, it would be pronounced with a soft "s" sound. Remember this only happens in the "yo" form: it's yo busqué, but tú buscaste.

Why is "everywhere" translated as en todas partes?

En todas partes is the standard, most natural Spanish idiom for "everywhere." It literally means "in all parts." While you could technically say something like en todos los lugares (in all the places), en todas partes is the set phrase you will hear native speakers use most often.
