Questions & Answers about Куда вы везёте эти пустые носилки?
Why use везёте instead of возите here?
везёте is from везти, the unidirectional verb for transporting by vehicle. The question asks about a specific trip happening right now in one direction. If you were asking about a habitual action (like where they usually take them), you would use the multidirectional verb возить.
Why is the plural word носилки used? Could it refer to just one stretcher?
Yes, it can mean just one! The word носилки (stretcher) only exists in the plural form in Russian, much like glasses or scissors in English. Because of this, the adjectives and pronouns matching it must also be plural (эти пустые).
What case is эти пустые носилки in, and why didn't the endings change?
It is in the accusative case because it is the direct object being transported. For plural nouns that are inanimate (non-living objects), the accusative case endings look exactly the same as the nominative (dictionary) endings.
Why do we use Куда instead of Где?
Где asks about a fixed location (where something is resting), while Куда asks about a destination or direction (where to). Because везёте is a verb of motion implying movement toward a destination, you must use Куда.
