Spans of time

Four prepositions frame a stretch of time, and each is followed by a different form.

în decursulthe genitiveîn decursul anilor
pe tot parcursulthe genitivepe tot parcursul zilei
în decurs dea bare nounîn decurs de o săptămână

În decursul (over the course of) is the written sister of în cursul. Pe tot parcursul (throughout) stresses the whole stretch, from start to end. În decurs de (within) says how long something takes, so a number or o follows it. Începând cu marks when something new begins.

Still, next, everyday

After a verb, în continuare means still, as before. At the start of an announcement it means next. De zi cu zi follows a noun like an adjective: viața de zi cu zi (everyday life). Do not mix it up with zi de zi (day after day), which says how often.

I use Romanian in everyday life.
