Usages of iken

かれ と わたし の けん は ちがいます。kare to watashi no iken wa chigaimasu.
His opinion differs from mine.
かのじょ の けん が からない。kanojo no iken ga wakaranai.
I don't understand her view.
わたしたち の けん は いっしょ です。watashitachi no iken wa issho desu.
Our opinions are the same.

The word issyo is used here to show that the opinions are unified or aligned (held together with the other person).

Most of the time you should use the word おな when referring to things that are the same.

けん を して ください。iken o dashite kudasai.
Please give your opinion.
せんせい に ごけん を うかがいたい です。sensei ni goiken o ukagaitai desu.
I would like to ask for your opinion, teacher.
