Learn Italian: Erogheremmo il finanziamento attraverso l'associazione. - We would disburse the funding through the association.

Attraverso is perfect here because it implies passing something "through" an intermediary channel, like an association. You could also use tramite or mediante in this formal register. While per also translates to "through," it is more common in everyday speech for physical movement (like walking through a park) rather than formal mediation.

Why is there an 'h' in erogheremmo?

The infinitive is erogare (to disburse). For verbs ending in -care and -gare, you must add an h in the future and conditional tenses to keep the hard "c" or "g" sound before the letter e. Without it, the "g" would sound soft like an English "j".

What exactly does erogare mean, and is it only used for money?

It is a formal verb meaning to supply, disburse, or distribute. While very common for financial contexts like il finanziamento (funding), it is also used for public utilities and services, such as erogare energia elettrica (to supply electricity) or erogare un servizio (to provide a service).

What tense is erogheremmo, and why use it here?

It is the present conditional (condizionale presente) of erogare, meaning "we would disburse." In business or administrative language, the conditional is frequently used to discuss proposals, hypothetical scenarios, or contracts that depend on certain conditions being met.
