Usages of teið

Ég drekk teið en hann drekkur safann.
I drink the tea but he drinks the juice.
Kaupir þú teið eða kaupi ég kaffið?
Are you buying the tea or am I buying the coffee?
Kaffið er svart og teið er heitt.
The coffee is black and the tea is hot.
Ég vil ekki kaffi, heldur te.
I do not want coffee, but rather tea.
Það er mikilvægt að þeir sötri ekki teið.
It is important that they do not slurp the tea.
