Czy is a question particle used to form yes/no questions in Polish. It doesn’t translate directly into English but signals that you’re asking for confirmation or permission. In informal speech you can drop czy and rely on rising intonation—Mogę przynieść wodę?—to make the same question.

Why is mogę used here instead of a conditional like mogłabym or mógłbym?

Mogę is the first person singular present tense of móc (to be able), equivalent to can or may in English. It’s direct and perfectly polite for everyday requests. The conditional mogłabym or mógłbym (could I) is softer or more tentative, often used when you want extra politeness.

Why is przynieść in its infinitive form after mogę?

In Polish, modal verbs like móc are followed by an infinitive. So the structure is mogę + przynieść = I can bring. You don’t conjugate the second verb; it remains in the infinitive.
