Usages of antaŭ

• Mia patrino rakontas mallongan rakonton antaŭ la vespermanĝo.: My mother tells a short story before dinner.
• La hundo estas antaŭ la domo.: The dog is in front of the house.
• Antaŭ la naskiĝtago de mia fratino mi serĉas ideojn en la interreto kaj legas unu retejon pri donacoj.: Before my sister's birthday I look for ideas on the internet and read one website about presents.
• Se ni bezonas ion ajn por la matenmanĝo, mi povas aĉeti ĝin en butiko antaŭ la laboro.: If we need anything for breakfast, I can buy it in a store before work.
• Antaŭ la venonta semajno mi devas decidi, ĉu mi manĝos tagmanĝon hejme aŭ ĉe la oficejo.: Before next week I have to decide whether I will eat lunch at home or at the office.
• Mi metas la kuleron sur la tablon antaŭ la matenmanĝo.: I put the spoon on the table before breakfast.
• La infano ne volas brosi la dentojn, sed la patrino diras: “Brosu ilin antaŭ la supo!”: The child does not want to brush their teeth, but the mother says: “Brush them before the soup!”
• Antaŭ la tagmanĝo ŝi metas rizon sur la pladon, kaj poste ŝi alportas viandon.: Before lunch she puts rice on the plate, and afterwards she brings meat.
• Ni devas iri rekte por atingi la bibliotekon antaŭ la vespero.: We must go straight to reach the library before the evening.
• Antaŭ la ekzameno mi volas esti preta, do mi legas denove ĉiun noton kaj ĉiun paĝon.: Before the exam I want to be ready, so I read every note and every page again.
• Ĉiu studento malfermas sian kajeron antaŭ la leciono.: Each student opens their notebook before the lesson.
• Antaŭ la kunveno la presilo ne funkcias, do mi ne povas presi la raporton.: Before the meeting the printer does not work, so I cannot print the report.
• Mi metas akvon en glason antaŭ la tagmanĝo.: I put water into a glass before lunch.
• Matene mi devas rapidi, sed mia fratino neniam volas rapidi antaŭ la matenmanĝo.: In the morning I have to hurry, but my sister never wants to hurry before breakfast.
• Antaŭ la vojaĝo mi metas vestojn en valizon kaj kontrolas mian pasporton.: Before the trip I put clothes into a suitcase and check my passport.
