我wǒ　以为yǐwéi　她tā　不bù　来lái　了le，　但是dànshì　她tā　终于zhōngyú　到dào　了le。wǒ yǐwéi tā bù lái le, dànshì tā zhōngyú dào le.

I thought she wasn’t coming, but she finally arrived.

我们wǒmen　终于zhōngyú　见面jiànmiàn　了le。wǒmen zhōngyú jiànmiàn le.

We finally met.

虽然Suīrán　她tā　先xiān　申请shēnqǐng　失败shībài　了le，　但是dànshì　后来hòulái　又yòu　申请shēnqǐng　了le　一yì　次cì，　终　于zhōngyú　成功chénggōng　了le。Suīrán tā xiān shēnqǐng shībài le, dànshì hòulái yòu shēnqǐng le yì cì, zhōngyú chénggōng le.

Although her first application failed, later she applied again and finally succeeded.

After resting for two days, her condition finally improved.
