But in Levantine, شفت can also mean you saw when speaking to one male. The form is ambiguous by itself, so context tells you which meaning is intended.

Why isn’t أنا written before شفت?

Because Arabic usually drops subject pronouns when the verb already gives enough information.

So instead of saying أنا شفت, people very often just say شفت. Adding أنا is possible, but it usually adds emphasis or contrast.

What does شنطة mean, and is it a colloquial word?

Yes. شنطة is a very common everyday word for bag in Levantine and many other dialects.

A more formal Standard Arabic word would be حقيبة, but in normal speech شنطة is extremely common.

How is لونها formed?

لونها is made of:

لون = color
