Why is the verb written as ehdottais instead of ehdottaisin?
In spoken Finnish (puhekieli), the conditional marker -isi- is often shortened to just -is, and the personal ending (like the -n for 'I') is dropped completely. The pronoun mä does the job of telling us who is suggesting. In standard written Finnish, this would be minä ehdottaisin.
If the personal ending is dropped, how do we know who is doing the suggesting?
