Why is there an 'alef' (ا) in خستهام?
The word for tired is خسته (khasteh), which ends in a silent 'heh' (ه) representing an 'e' vowel. When we attach the 'I am' ending ـَم (-am), we have to add an 'alef' (ا) as a written bridge so the vowels do not clash. This is why it is written as خستهام instead of just adding a 'mim'.
What is the formal or full written version of میرم?
The formal written form is میروم (miravam). In everyday spoken Farsi, the 'v' sound drops out of the present stem of رفتن (raftan, meaning to go), turning میروم into the much shorter میرم (miram).
Why isn't there a word for 'to' before خونه?
Just like in English where we say 'I am going home' instead of 'going to home', Farsi often drops the preposition به (be, meaning to) before destinations in casual, everyday speech. You could theoretically say میرم به خونه, but leaving it out sounds much more natural.
Why is 'home' written as خونه instead of خانه?
In the spoken Tehrani accent, the 'aan' sound frequently changes to an 'oon' sound. Because this sentence is written exactly how people speak, the formal word خانه (khaneh) is changed to its conversational form خونه (khooneh).
