Questions & Answers about یکشنبه به پارک میرویم.
Why is there no word for "on" before یکشنبه (Sunday)?
In Farsi, you don't need a preposition like "on" when talking about days of the week. You can just say the day itself, like یکشنبه (Sunday), right at the beginning of the sentence to mean "On Sunday".
Where is the word for "we" in this sentence?
The word for "we" is ما (ma), but it is left out here. In Farsi, you can usually drop the subject pronoun because the verb ending already tells you who is doing the action. The ending ـیم (-im) on the verb میرویم (we go) clearly shows it means "we".
Why is the verb میرویم (we go) at the very end of the sentence?
Farsi sentences generally put the verb at the very end. Even though the subject "we" is hidden here, the verb naturally sits at the end of the sentence, after the place you are going to (به پارک).
Does میرویم mean "we go" or "we are going"?
It can mean both! Farsi uses the same present tense form, which starts with the prefix می (mi-), for both routines ("we go") and actions happening right now or in the near future ("we are going").
