Learn Farsi: مفهوم وفاداری را چطور توضیح دادند؟ - How did they explain the concept of loyalty?

This is a perfect example of making an abstract noun using the suffix -i. It starts with the adjective vafâdâr (loyal) and adds -i to the end to mean "loyalty". (Fun fact: vafâdâr itself comes from vafâ, meaning "faithfulness", plus -dâr, meaning "holder" or "possessor".)

Where is the word for "of" in "the concept of loyalty"?

Farsi connects these words using the ezafe vowel -e. You pronounce the phrase as mafhum-e vafâdâri. The -e acts like "of" to link "concept" and "loyalty", but as usual, this short vowel isn't written in the Persian alphabet.

Why does the object marker râ come after vafâdâri?

The word râ marks the specific direct object of the verb. Because the entire phrase mafhum-e vafâdâri (the concept of loyalty) is the object they are explaining, râ must go at the very end of that complete noun phrase.

Why is the verb for "explained" made up of two words here?

tozih dâdand is a compound verb, which is very common in Farsi. It combines the noun tozih (explanation) with the verb dâdan (to give), conjugated here as dâdand (they gave). So literally, the sentence asks how they "gave explanation".
