In Farsi, regular adjectives almost always come after the noun they describe. However, superlative adjectives (words ending in -tarin, meaning "the most...") are a major exception! They are placed before the noun, just like they are in English. So, instead of putting the adjective last, we say zibātarin daryāche (the most beautiful lake).

Do I need to pronounce an Ezafe (the "e" sound) between zibātarin and daryāche?

No, you don't! This is another way superlative adjectives break the normal rules. When a regular adjective comes after a noun, you must connect them with an Ezafe. But because zibātarin comes before the noun, no Ezafe is used to link them.

I recognize the word daryā (sea) inside daryāche (lake). Is that on purpose?

Yes! The suffix -che is a "diminutive" ending in Farsi, which means it is used to make things smaller. Because daryā means "sea", adding -che creates daryāche, which literally translates to "little sea"—the Farsi word for "lake".

Is there an Ezafe connecting ān (that) and jangal (forest)?

No. Just like superlative adjectives, demonstrative words like ān (that) and in (this) always come before the noun they point to, and they never take an Ezafe. You just say the two words back-to-back: ān jangal.
