In Farsi, nouns that come after numbers are always in their singular form. Just like you learned in this lesson that chand (how many) takes a singular noun, numbers like shesh (six) also use the singular. So we say shesh heyvân instead of using a plural form.

Why is dar pârk (in the park) at the beginning of the sentence?

In Farsi, the location often comes near the beginning of the sentence, right after the subject. Since the subject 'I' is hidden inside the verb here, the location dar pârk starts the sentence, followed by the object (shesh heyvân) and finally the verb (mi-binam) at the very end.

How does the verb mi-binam break down into parts?

It is made of three pieces. mi- is the prefix that shows it is a continuous or habitual present action (I see, or I am seeing). bin is the present root of the verb for 'seeing'. Finally, the -am at the end tells us the subject is 'I'.

Since 'six animals' is the direct object of the verb, why isn't there a -râ attached to it?

The object marker -râ is only used for specific, definite direct objects (like 'the animals' or 'my dog'). Because you are just seeing 'six animals' in general (indefinite), you do not use -râ here.
