In Farsi, whenever you use a number before a noun to count it, the noun must stay in its singular form. So, instead of saying 'ten photos', Farsi literally says 'ten photo' (ده عکس).

Is there an Ezafe connecting the number, the noun, and the adjective?

There is an Ezafe (an invisible 'e' sound) between the noun and the adjective making it عکسِ زیبا (aks-e ziba). However, cardinal numbers come before the noun and do not use an Ezafe. You just say ده عکس (dah aks) without any extra connecting sound.

Why do we use اینها (these) instead of just این (this) if the word for photo is singular?

Because we are pointing to multiple things (ten photos), we use the plural form اینها (these). Even though the noun عکس itself stays singular after the number, the pronoun at the beginning of the sentence still reflects that we are talking about a plural amount.

The verb هستند is plural. Can I use the singular verb است since photos are inanimate objects?
