The English translation says "the" mechanic and "the" car, but I don't see a word for "the" in Farsi. Why?

Farsi does not have a direct equivalent for the definite article "the". Words like mekānik and māšin can mean "a mechanic" or "the mechanic", depending on the context. Because we are talking about a specific situation here, it naturally translates to "the" in English.

Why is the verb ast (is) at the very end of the sentence?

In Farsi, the main verb almost always goes at the very end of the sentence. The standard order here is Subject (abzār-e mekānik) + Location (dāxel-e māšin) + Verb (ast).
