Sentence-initial reason (az ânjâ ke)

To introduce a reason at the beginning of a sentence, Farsi uses the conjunction از آنجا که ("since" or "seeing that"). Because this conjunction establishes a known fact or condition, the verb in its clause takes the indicative mood.

The reason clause comes first (usually followed by a comma), followed by the main clause containing the result.

The main clause can be a standard statement, a requirement, or a command based on the premise you just established.
