The Future Passive
When discussing plans and predictions, you often need to state what will be done. For this, Farsi uses the future passive.
To form the future passive of a simple verb, combine its past participle (such as ساخته from ساختن) with the third-person future of the auxiliary شدن (to become). For a singular subject, use خواهد شد.
| The neighborhood's new plan will be accepted tomorrow. | طرح جدید محله فردا پذیرفته خواهد شد.tarh-e jadid-e mahalle fardâ pazirofte khâhad shod. |
| With the increase in population, new housing will be built in the suburbs. | با افزایش جمعیت، مسکن جدید در حومه ساخته خواهد شد.bâ afzâyesh jam'iyat, maskan jadid dar hume sâkhte khâhad shod. |
Plural Subjects
When the subject receiving the action is plural, use the plural auxiliary خواهند شد.
| Will the garbage be taken outside? | آیا زبالهها به بیرون برده خواهند شد؟âyâ zobâle-hâ be birun borde khâhand shod? |
Compound Verbs
For compound verbs that use کردن (to do) in the active voice, form the passive by swapping it with the future forms of شدن. You don't need a past participle; just place the non-verbal part directly before خواهد شد or خواهند شد.
| to be inaugurated / to be opened | افتتاح شدنeftetâh shodan |
| This big bridge will be inaugurated tomorrow. | این پل بزرگ فردا افتتاح خواهد شد.in pol bozorg fardâ eftetâh khâhad shod. |
| The new budget will be approved next year, but we must wait. | بودجهی جدید سال آینده تصویب خواهد شد، اما ما باید منتظر بمانیم.budjeye jadid sâle âyande tasvib khâhad shod, ammâ mâ bâyad montazer bemânim. |
| These commercial centers will be inaugurated. | این مرکزهای تجاری افتتاح خواهند شد.in markaz-hâ-ye tejâri eftetâh khâhand shod. |
