Exclamatory Remarks: "What a...!"
To express amazement (like "What a beautiful place!"), use this structure:
چه + [Noun] + [Adjective] + ی
The noun and adjective are linked by the ezafe vowel, just as in regular descriptions.
| What a lush forest! | چه جنگل سرسبزی!che jangal sarsabzi! |
| What a mysterious temple! | چه معبد اسرارآمیزی!che ma'bad asrârâmizi! |
| What a magnificent mansion! It seems that this building is very old. | چه عمارت باشکوهی! به نظر میرسد که این بنا بسیار قدیمی است.che emârat bâshokuhi! be nazar miresad ke in banâ besyâr qadimi ast. |
Multiple Adjectives
To use multiple adjectives, link them with و (and). The suffix ی only attaches to the final adjective.
| What a spectacular and beautiful mountain range! | چه کوهستان دیدنی و زیبایی!che kuhestâne didani va zibâyi! |
| What a vast and hot desert! | چه کویر پهناور و گرمی!che kavir pahnâvar o garmi! |
Vowel Endings
When the final adjective ends in a vowel, such as the silent he (ه), the suffix takes the form of ای to bridge the sounds smoothly.
| What a dazzling landscape! | چه منظرهی خیرهکنندهای!che manzare-ye khire-konande-i! |
