Adverbs from adjectives

Bare Adjectives as Adverbs

In English, we usually add "-ly" to an adjective to turn it into an adverb (like "nimble" to "nimbly"). In Farsi, you often don't need to change the word at all. You can use the exact same "bare" adjective to modify a verb directly.

Placement

These adverbs of manner typically sit directly before the verb, or right before the verbal part of a compound verb. This rule stays consistent across all tenses.

Comparative Adverbs

Because these adverbs are fundamentally adjectives, you can compare actions using the standard comparative suffix تر (meaning "-er" or "more"), followed by از (than).

Combining Adverbs

You can easily link multiple adverbs with و (and) to make your descriptions more dynamic.
